Urban Abstractions

Omelianchuk and McKenzie explore photographic interpretations of art and design discovered exploring urban industrial landscapes. Traveling the world together and alone the duo have been inspired by the art created by others in the city landscape. Omelianchuk brings her highly editorial eye to the lens and captures moments, otherwise missed by most. McKenzie documents 2 years of passing boxcar tag art, captured with his iPhone behind his showroom here in Atlanta's westside and presented in graphic details of the original pieces. The dialogue between the two artists' works makes the viewer stop and notice that which otherwise goes unnoticed in the busy urban hustle of life.
