AAC Photography Salon Juried Show
Atlanta Artists Center

Exhibition: Sat, Oct 4, to Thu, Oct 30 2014

The Atlanta Artists Center Photography Salon includes amateur and professional photographers who regularly achieve juried placements and awards for photographic work that not only "pushes the envelope," but helps define it. This juried show will demonstrate the benefits of striving for artistic expression, while at the same time maintaining a respect for the practice of exacting technological principles. Photographs using traditional processes, new processes and experimental processes will be featured.

The show will be judged by Amy Miller, Executive Director of Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded at the reception, October 12, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and the public is invited to attend. All pieces of artwork will be for sale.

"We have found that the association with a group of outstanding artists in all media, such as those at the Atlanta Artists Center has broadened and nurtured our creativity and challenged our thinking about what is possible with photography. The advent of digital processing has caused the interest in photography to explode as a form of creative expression. It's exciting," said H. Gay Allen, Chairman of the salon.
