Lucinda Bunnen: Georgia Portraits
Atlanta Preservation Center
Featuring work by: Lucinda Bunnen

Exhibition: Fri, Oct 18, to Fri, Dec 13 2013

Lucinda Bunnen: Georgia Portraits, a selection from her Movers and Shakers series curated by Constance Lewis and Jerry Cullum, presents 27 portraits of Atlantans and others who creatively shaped or re-defined the State’s political, art and business landscapes. Bunnen is at home in all these influential worlds and her formal portraits and snapshots capture intimate visual details of these high-profile figures, each one as imaginative and expressive as her photographs.

The mission of The Atlanta Preservation Center is to promote the preservation of Atlanta's architecturally, historically and culturally significant buildings, neighborhoods and landscapes through education and advocacy. The Center is located in the 1856 Lemuel P. Grant mansion which features a 680 square foot gallery in its Drawing Room. This gallery is host to exhibitions that underscore the Center’s mission. Its purpose is to demonstrate that the preserved environment is a valuable and inspirational part of the present.

Opening Reception: Fri, Oct 18, 6pm - 9pm

Panel Discussion: Sat, Oct 26, 3pm - 6pm

You are invited to a unique occasion that includes the artist, her subjects and those acquainted with the people in the photographs exhibited in Lucinda Bunnen: Georgia Portraits.
