Exhibition: Thu, Oct 14 to Fri, Nov 12 2010
China covers a vast expanse of territory in which live many ethnic groups, and consequently there are many folk festivals unique to each region. Two Chinese photographers, Cai Huansong and Zeng Qiuhe, have been dedicating their time and effort to studying and shooting many of these varied regional folk festivals throughout China. Both photographers seek to explore the cultural significances of the local beliefs and superstitions in each festival from a photographer’s perspective.
This exhibition is produced by Yan Li.
