Just Suppose: The Art of Maggie Taylor and Jerry Uelsmann
The Art Institute of Atlanta
Featuring work by: Maggie Taylor, Jerry Uelsmann

Exhibition: Mon, Sep 27, to Sat, Nov 6 2010

Just Suppose is an exhibition of 60 prints that juxtaposes the exciting work of Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor, two innovative photographers who create their imagery in very different ways with very different results, but equally dazzling effect. Uelsmann creates unforgettable dreamlike, even mystical, black-and-white images using hand-printed multiple negatives. Taylor combines vintage photographs, antique toys, and other found objects in her surrealistic digital photomontages, which can contain as many as 40 to 60 different layers. The exhibition is spread between two Art Institute galleries, one in Sandy Springs and one in Decatur.
