The eighth annual juried exhibition presents images from over 40 photographers that underscore the contradictions and complexity of the rural South. 2010 jurors Brett Levine, Birmingham, Alabama and Jack Spencer, Nashville, Tennessee join SlowExposures alumni during the last two weekends in September. Events include Portfolio Review, The Salon, The SlowExposures Ball, and Jurors Talk in addition to a host of satellite shows throughout historic rural Pike County.

This two-part exhibition “Pictures of Resistance: The Wartime Photographs of Jewish Partisan Faye Schulman”, and “Courage and Compassion”, explores the lives of resistance fighters during the Holocaust.

Free to Breman Members and free with museum admission.

A reception at 12:30 for documentary filmmaker and granddaughter of the resistance fighter portrayed by Daniel Craig (“James Bond is my grandfather!”) who tells the real story of the partisans at 2pm.
